Who Even Is She?

Georgie Jones. Or, formally, Georgina Evelyn Jones (Georgina after my mum's mum and Evelyn after my dad's)
I am a performance poet and storyteller originally from a small town in the Midlands now living in North London. 
I am a Resident Artist at the Roundhouse in Camden and one fourteenth of Poetry Collective.

Never one to shy from embarrassment (and arguably oversharing) I often write autobiographically and love to celebrate the beauty and the humour in the little things, the otherwise insignificant things. I love to write relatable stories of pre-teen awkwardness with honesty, sincerity and wit. I write for myself and for everyone that wants to listen (and recent for my friend's wedding which is very exciting)

My performance has been described as 'delightfully dry' which, for someone who sports a sweaty palm more often than not, I will take as a compliment. 
I have performed in theatres, at festivals, in pubs and on streets all over the city and I'm currently working on my first full length spoken word show.
